Early Diagnosis of Breast Cancer

Challenged by a large uncertainty on Positive Predictive Value in ACR 4 category (2% – 95%)

Leads to overconsumption of Macrobiopsies which are :

  •  Deleterious for the patient
  •  Time-consuming for the doctor
  •  Costly for the Health System

Exploration of individuel microcalcification

We have performed a first clinical evaluation on fifty breast Macro-Biopsies.

Our Phase contrast imaging technique demonstrates better performances than classic absorption technique and the main interest of these results is that our phase contrast images allow radiologists to easily characterize microcalcifications into benign and malignant directly on the Mammograms.

Phase Contrast Imaging paves the way for a new semiology to characterize microcalcifications
